Welcome to Tapping Place! You’ll find this site incredibly easy to use. We’d like to get you into a live session with a certified practitioner as quickly as possible. It takes less than 2 minutes to set up your account and start your first free session. If you’re a first time user, your first step is to set up an account for yourself. You’ll find the answers to your questions below.

My First Session
Q: How long does it take to set up my account on Tapping Place?
Less than 2 minutes. You'll then see your “dashboard” and receive your free report. You then text your practitioner and start your session. Register here.
Q: How can I register on the site?
Select the free registration link in the main menu. It takes less than 2 minutes.
Q: What does the registration give me?
If you are registered, you may do the following:
- change your profile data.
- communicate in Text Chat and Video Chat rooms anytime with any of the practitioners who are online.
- get notifications sent to your e-mail inbox when your favorite practitioner is online.
- renew your account and check the chat history.
Q: I just registered. How can I access my profile/account?
Use the login form here. Click on your name in the center of your screen any time to return to your dashboard.
About Sessions
Q: Can a session as short as 20 minutes really be effective?
Absolutely. Over 20 clinical trials found symptoms dropping significantly after a brief session.
Q: What do sessions cost?
Your first session is free. After that, 10 min for $30, 20 min for $50, 30 min for $65.
Q: If my practitioner is really helping with my problem, can I extend my session?
Yes. You are in complete control of how long the session lasts. If you’d like to extend the length of your session, you can add funds to your account at any time. It takes under 2 minutes. You then resume your session with your practitioner.
Q: If I have a balance in my account at the end of my session, what happens to it?
You will see it in your dashboard when you log on for your next session.
Q: What happens if my mic or camera don’t work?
Test your mic and web cam here before starting your session. If either does not work, restart your device, and if you’re still having problems, check the manufacturer’s troubleshooting guide.
Q: What is your refund policy?
Your first session is free, so that you can experience the transformative power of these techniques. Refunds are not available for subsequent sessions, or for technical failures of your browser, device, or internet connection. However, you can terminate any session at any time if you do not find you are making progress.
About My Practitioner
Q: How do I know these practitioners are qualified?
Only practitioners certified in Clinical EFT by EFT Universe are listed on the site. They have gone through a rigorous training program including classes, exams, and supervision. Their training classes are accredited for Continuing Medical Education by the American Medical Association.
Q: Is working with a practitioner more effective than using these methods myself?
Self-help is often effective for minor issues. For major ones, the expertise of a trained practitioner who has assisted thousands of clients is usually able to produce much faster results. This video explains the difference.
Q: Are some practitioners better than others?
All practitioners have been trained in Clinical EFT, a consistent and reliable "evidence-based" method. They have all met the accredited standards required for certification, so they all have the same high baseline of competence. Research shows that the technique is effective regardless of the practitioner by whom it's delivered.
Q: What is the difference between "certified" and "licensed" practitioners?
All practitioners on this site are certified in Clinical EFT. Those with initials such as PhD or LPC behind their names are licensed to treat mental health conditions by a government agency. They are designated with a  • in front of their names. Those with initials such as MD, RN, DC or LAc are licensed to treat medical conditions. They have a * in front of their names. Those without such initials are health coaches and while they are certified they are not licensed.
Q: Do these practitioners carry liability insurance?
Yes. All practitioners are required to maintain a valid and current liability insurance policy.
About Security and Privacy
Q: Are my video sessions secure and private?
Your sessions, texts, and emails between your browser and this website are all encrypted as per HIPAA guidelines.
Q: Is what I tell my practitioner confidential?
Yes. Your practitioner is trained in professional ethics and maintains strict standards of confidentiality. The only exceptions are (a) when a practitioner is ordered to turn over records by a court, or (b) when you express a desire to harm yourself or others.
Q: Is my session recorded?
In order to maintain privacy and confidentiality, no recording is made of your session.

About Tech and the Website
Q: My browser is asking me to allow Tapping Place to use my camera. But I already chose "Start Video Chat." Why is it asking that?
To protect your privacy, browsers have built in security that explicitly requires you to authorize use of your camera.
Q: Does the site work on my smartphone?
It works perfectly on most devices, including tablets, laptops, and phones. To save it as an app on your phone, open a browser window and save it as a favorite.
Q: My streaming video is slow, jerky, or low-resolution. How can I improve it?
- Check to see if you're running another video app like Skype or Zoom, and quit, because you can't have the camera effectively being used by two video-based apps at the same time.
- Second, close all other apps that might be using the Internet, like Spotify or Pandora. This will free up bandwidth for Tapping Place.
- Third, close all other windows in your browser.
Q: Which browsers are compatible with Tapping Place?
- For desktop and laptop machines, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
- For Mobile: Chrome (Android), Safari (Mac).
- To give yourself an optimal experience, please do not attempt to use incompatible hardware and software.
Q: Do I need a web cam to talk to a practitioner?
It is not necessary to have a web cam. You can have a session that is audio-only. However it is helpful if the practitioner can see you and you can see them, so if you do have a web cam, please use it.
Q: I forgot my password. How can I restore it?
Use the "restore password" form. If you have more than one email address, password reset instructions will go only to the address you used during registration. Neither your practitioner nor the site administrator has access to your password.
Q: How can I add money to my account?
You may do it on the Add Funds page.
Q: Who owns and runs Tapping Place?
Tapping Place is owned and managed by EFT Universe, one of the largest and most trusted health sites on the web.
